It claims an\u00a0average weekly circulation of 1.5 million in 2006, about half of which were sold in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The publication belongs to The Economist Group, half of which is owned by Pearson PLC via the <i>Financial Times<\/i>. The other half is owned by a group of independent shareholders, including the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rothschild_banking_family_of_England\"><span class=\"s3\">Rothschild banking family of England<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s4\">That <\/span><span class=\"s2\"><b>the Rothchilds own part of <i>The Economist<\/i><\/b><\/span><span class=\"s4\">\u00a0accounts for why <a href=\"http:\/\/vigilantcitizen.com\/vigilantreport\/economist-2015-cover-filled-cryptic-symbols-dire-predictions\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Vigilant Citizen<\/span><\/a> (VC), the blogger who specializes in analyzing pop culture symbols and their hidden meanings, gives import to <\/span><span class=\"s2\"><b>the magazine\u2019s disquieting \u201cThe World in 2015\u201d cover with a mushroom cloud from a nuclear bomb explosion, among other disturbing images.<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s4\"><b> <\/b>In VC\u2019s words:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>It [The Economist] is partly owned by the <\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rothschild_banking_family_of_England\"><span class=\"s3\"><i>Rothschild banking family of England<\/i><\/span><\/a><i> and its editor-in-chief, <\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Micklethwait\"><span class=\"s3\"><i>John Micklethwait<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>, attended several times to the Bilderberg Conference \u2013 the secretive meeting where the world\u2019s most powerful figures from the world of politics, finance business and media discuss global policies. The outcome of those meetings is totally secret. It is therefore safe to say that the people at The Economist know things that most people don\u2019t.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Here is <i>The Economist<\/i>\u2018s 2015 cover (click to enlarge), followed by an analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">To begin, <i>The Economist<\/i>\u2018s 2015 cover is reminiscent of the eerie image on the album cover of The Beatles\u2019 Sgt. Pepper\u2019s Lonely Hearts Club Band (see below), which was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neatorama.com\/2012\/04\/05\/the-cover-art-of-sgt-peppers-llonely-hearts-club-band\/\"><span class=\"s1\">a color photo taken in a studio<\/span> <\/a>of the four Beatles wearing band uniforms, surrounded by life-size cardboard cutouts of themselves in suits, as well as those of famous personalities, both living and dead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The Beatles, of course, are in color, as are some of the cardboard figures, while other figures are in black and white (b&amp;w). There doesn\u2019t seem to be a discernible reason for why some are in b&amp;w because they include people both dead (e.g., Karl Marx) and alive (e.g., Bob Dylan).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>BLACK &amp; WHITE FACES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>The Economist<\/i>\u2018s \u201cThe World in 2015\u201d cover also has various figures in color and b&amp;w, with one difference \u2014 only <\/span><span class=\"s5\"><b>the heads and faces of some are in b&amp;w<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, while their bodies are in color, which gives their faces a grey, drained-of-blood, walking-dead quality. The b&amp;w heads are a majority, and they include both the living (Barack Obama) and the dead (Winston Churchill). Vigilant Citizen thinks\u00a0that \u201cthose in black and white appear to be part of the elite (including the ISIS guy who probably works for them) and those in color are \u2018outsiders\u2019. Is this how the elite perceives the world?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>THE PIED PIPER<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">VC writes:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cThe presence of the Pied Piper on this 2015-themed cover is downright unsettling. The Pied Piper of Hamelin is a German legend about a man who used his magical flute to lure away the children of the city of Hamelin, never to be seen again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">This folkloric figure dating from the Middle-Ages is said to represent either massive death by plague or catastrophe, or a movement of massive immigration. It also perfectly represents today\u2019s youth being \u2018lured\u2019 and mystified by the \u2018music\u2019 of mass media. Conveniently enough, there\u2019s a small boy right under the Piper\u2019s flute.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">To reinforce the message of pop music\u2019s seductive allure, there\u2019s a drum set beneath the clueless little boy. One drum has stars and stripes (signifying American pop music); another is inscribed with \u201c50th,\u201d meaning what?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>GAME OF PANIC<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">VC writes: \u201cRight under the Pied Piper we see a young boy with dumbfounded look on his face. He is watching a game called \u2018Panic\u2019. The words \u2018Federal Reserve\u2019 and \u2018Chi\u2019 (which probably stands for China) are on top while the words \u2018Green light!\u2019 and \u2018sis!\u2019 (which probably stands for \u2018Isis!\u2019 or \u2018Crisis!\u2019) are at the bottom. The little boy watches as this twisted game of Plinko unfolds the same way the clueless masses watch powerlessly while various events unfold on mass media. As the name of the game states, the ultimate goal is to cause Panic around the world as crises are almost randomly generated by those who control the game. And that\u2019s on a magazine cover owned by the Rothschilds.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>CROP DUSTER<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">In front of a sinister-looking Russian president Vladimir Putin is a small helicopter on which is written Crop-O-Dust \u2014 a reference to crop dusting, \u201cthe process of spraying crops with powdered insecticides or\u00a0fungicides from an aircraft.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Right under the helicopter is an Asian kid, eating processed noodles, made from wheat that the crop duster had sprayed?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">And below the kid is \u201cPANIC\u201d!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>CHINA<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Next to the noodle-eating Chinese kid is a panda on steroids,\u00a0wearing a China-flag Speedo while flexing its muscles \u2014 a clear reference to China gaining power.\u00a0The panda dwarfs a sumo wrestler, signifying the eclipse of Japan by China.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The sumo wrestler holds an out-sized battery on which the polarities (+ and -) are clearly indicated. VC wonders if that\u2019s a symbol for a switch in polarity in world power from the West to the East?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>GHOST ON HOLIDAY<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">VC writes: \u201cEmerging from behind Obama\u2019s leg is a ghost reading a magazine entitled \u2018Holiday\u2019. Why is this ghost, which represents a dead person, planning a vacation? Does it represent the fact that the masses will be so impoverished that the only time they\u2019ll be on a holiday is when they\u2019re dead? Does it relate to the countless people who died while traveling in the past months? Creepy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>TURTLE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">VC writes: \u201cStanding in front of everything else, gazing right into our souls is a turtle with emphasis lines around its shell. What does it represent? Will turtles make a huge comeback in 2015? Probably not.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">An angry tortoise is the symbol of the Fabian Society, an extremely powerful organization that has been working for over a century towards the formation of a single world government.\u00a0The\u00a0philosophy behind Fabian socialism is basically the blueprint of what we call today the New World Order\u2026..<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>The Fabian Society used to openly advocate a scientifically planned society and supported eugenics by way of sterilization. Its original logo was a wolf in sheep\u2019s clothing<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s4\"> \u2026 But I guess that was not the best way to conceal the wolf from the masses. [A turtle is so much better!]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Bringing forth a global system through small incremental changes is exactly what the world elite is currently doing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>11.3 AND 11.5<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">VC writes: \u201cThe lower right side of the cover features some more cryptic symbols. There\u2019s a pile of dirt on the ground and two arrows on which are inscribed 11.5 and 11.3. Are those dates to remember? Why are they next to a pile of dirt? If you look up these figures as coordinates, they point to somewhere in Nigeria. Displaying numbers that can only be truly understood by \u2018those in the know\u2019 is one of the occult elite\u2019s favorite hobbies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>ALICE IN WONDERLAND &amp; THE CHESHIRE CAT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Standing to the right of the 11.5 (November 5?) and 11.3 (November 3?) arrows is Alice in Wonderland, who\u2019s looking up at the Cheshire Cat on a tree branch. VC writes: \u201cThis iconic cat is known for disappearing entirely, leaving only visible its creepy grin. We therefore see another allusion to a world of fantasy, illusion and deceit as perceived by Alice \u2013 a representative of the masses. Along with the somewhat unnecessary inclusion of David Blaine \u2013 a magician \u2013 the cover mixes real world events with illusions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Note that the tree branch is coming from Obama\u2019s leg \u2014 the man of fantasy, illusion, and lies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>THE LADY WITH NO ERMINE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">To the right of Alice is a portrait that\u2019s a reverse image of Leonardo da Vinci\u2019s\u00a0painting, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lady_with_an_Ermine\"><span class=\"s1\">The Lady with an Ermine<\/span><\/a> (1489-1490), but without the ermine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Leonardo da Vinci\u2019s Lady with an Ermine (l); <i>Economist<\/i> 2015 cover\u2019s lady without an ermine (r)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The subject of da Vinci\u2019s\u00a0portrait is Cecilia Gallerani, the mistress of Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, who was the painter\u2019s patron. Ermines, aka stoats, are known for their purity. That, of course, means that <i>The Economist<\/i>\u2018s lady without an ermine is without purity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>SPIDERMAN<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Then there\u2019s Spiderman, the only reference to a movie or pop culture figure on <i>The Economist<\/i>\u2018s \u201cWorld in 2015\u201d cover.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Why Spiderman? Why not the even more popular <i>The Hobbit<\/i>? The worldwide box office total for <i>The Amazing Spider-Man 2, <\/i>which was released on May 2, 2014,\u00a0is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-numbers.com\/movies\/franchise\/Spider-Man\"><span class=\"s1\">$708,996,336<\/span><\/a>. In contrast, the third Hobbit movie <i>The Battle of the Five Armies<\/i>, which was released on Dec. 10, 2014, already has a worldwide box office of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-numbers.com\/search\"><span class=\"s1\">$804,256,417<\/span><\/a>, and the movie hasn\u2019t yet opened in China.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">But wait!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Might <i>The Economist<\/i>\u2018s Spiderman be a veiled reference to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Serco_Group\"><span class=\"s1\">Serco<\/span><\/a>, the British-owned and UK-based global <\/span><span class=\"s6\">\u201coutsourcing company\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> government contractor that has a spider as its logo? <\/span><span class=\"s7\"><b>(H\/t FOTM\u2019s marblenecltr)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Serco\u00a0operates public and private transport and traffic control, aviation, military weapons, detention centers, prisons and schools on behalf of its customers, among whom is the Obama administration.\u00a0In July 2013, Serco was awarded a $1.25 billion contract to manage the implementation of <\/span><span class=\"s6\">the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> Obamacare.<\/span><span class=\"s8\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">Serco is also one of the 55 contractors hired by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to work on the dysfunctional\u00a0HealthCare.gov web site.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>OTHER IMAGES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">There are other cryptic\u00a0images in <i>The Economist<\/i>\u2018s 2015 cover like the two-faced globe; the blonde woman with a strange head-dress; the strange thing (a piggy bank?) coming out of UK Prime Minister David Cameron\u2019s suit jacket; and the Illuminati one-eye sign German Chancellor Angela Merkel is making with her hands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Whatever the image, know that it\u2019s there for a reason. <i>The Economist<\/i> had commissioned an artist to put together its \u201cWorld in 2015\u201d cover, which means much time and thought went into it.
