DC ANTIFA LEADER CHARGED WITH \u2018ETHNIC INTIMIDATION\u2019 RELATED TO ATTACK ON MARINES<\/h1>\n

Washington, D.C. Antifa leader Joseph \u201cJose\u201d Alcoff, also known as \u201cChepe,\u201d was arrested and charged with multiple felonies in Philadelphia on Jan. 10 in connection to the Antifa mob attack against two Marines in November.<\/p>\n

Alcoff faces 17 charges, including multiple counts of aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation, conspiracy and terroristic threats, and one count of robbery while inflicting serious bodily injury.<\/p>\n

An affidavit filed in the case reveals that The Daily Caller News Foundation\u2019s reporting on Alcoff\u2019s connection to violent Antifa groups was an integral factor leading to his arrest.\u00a0(RELATED: Revealed: Antifa Leader Relied On Anonymity To Push Radical, Violent Communist Agenda)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Marines,\u00a0Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres,\u00a0testified<\/a>\u00a0in December that a group of 10 to 12 Antifa members called them \u201cNazis\u201d and \u201cwhite supremacists\u201d and attacked them on the street despite their denials that they had no association with the right-wing group demonstrating nearby.<\/p>\n

During the attack, Godinez said he shouted \u201cI\u2019m Mexican\u201d at the mob, which allegedly led the attackers to call him a \u201cspic\u201d and \u201cwetback.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thomas Keenan and Thomas Massey were arrested in November in connection to the beating. Keenan, who has been called a \u201cleader\u201d of the Antifa contingent in the Philadelphia area, was arrested and charged with rioting alongside Alcoff in New Jersey in 2011.<\/p>\n

Torres notified detectives in Philadelphia that Alcoff was a member of the group that attacked him after reading\u00a0TheDCNF\u2019s reporting<\/a>\u00a0detailing Alcoff\u2019s connection to Keenan,\u00a0Philadelphia Magazine<\/a>\u00a0reported, citing an affidavit\u00a0filed in Alcoff\u2019s case.<\/p>\n

Torres provided police\u00a0pictures of the suspects at the time of the attack, leading investigators to \u201cstrongly agree\u201d that Alcoff was the person in his photos, the affidavit states.<\/p>\n

Alcoff is an organizer of Smash Racism DC, the Antifa group responsible for mobbing Fox News host and DCNF co-founder\u00a0Tucker Carlson\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0house in November and for chasing Texas Republican Sen.\u00a0Ted Cruz<\/a>\u00a0from a D.C. restaurant in September.<\/p>\n

Alcoff made significant efforts to separate his true identity from his fanatical personas, \u201cChepe\u201d and \u201cJose Martin,\u201d TheDCNF reported in December.<\/p>\n
