Does this mean that these should all be declared planets? This could set up a slippery slope for chain migration by unscrupulous dwarf planets trying to force their way into the solar system\u2019s exclusive planetary club, making a mockery of the IAU\u2019s byzantine rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Proponents of the restoration of Pluto\u2019s planetary status point to its multilayered atmosphere, the presence of organic compounds on its surface, the fact that it has weather, avalanches, plutoquakes and possibly even liquid oceans, in addition to its own moons, as more than sufficient evidence of its rightful place among the stars.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"read-more-big\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/460765-pluto-hidden-ocean-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"read-more-big__container\"><span class=\"read-more-big__content\"><span class=\"read-more-big__subtitle\">ALSO ON RT.COM<\/span><span class=\"read-more-big__title\">Pluto may boast massive life-supporting hidden ocean and water-spewing icy volcanoes<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>Bridenstine\u2019s comments sparked an outpouring of support for Pluto on Twitter, with many weighing in to offer their backing for reinstating Pluto\u2019s planetary status.\u00a0<em>\u201cIt\u2019s round, has weather, has several moons, orbits the Sun. It\u2019s a god-damned planet,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>one commenter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jauntworld\/status\/1165461505292341248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote<\/a>.<em>\u00a0\u201cThe first crime in space was kicking Pluto out of the planet club,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0another\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cataphant\/status\/1165711874580570112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">added<\/a>, riffing on a news\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/467201-astronaut-accused-hack-bank-space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">story from last week<\/a>.
