CCRG Editor’s Note:  “Strangelets, Black Holes and the God Particle” was the title of the first article published on this site regarding the Large Hadron Collider (LHC)  .  How ‘far’ the most powerful particle accelerator on the planet has come since then.  Many are now justifiably looking at the LHC’s current undertaking as a reckless exercise in highly speculative experimentation that unnecessarily pushes the edge of the envelope. They label the wanton pursuit of the ‘God particle’ (also known as the Higgs boson) as an exceptionally precarious endeavor that “belongs strictly in the realm of the gods”.

How is it that these nuclear physicists constructed the largest nuclear particle accelerator stretching 27 miles on the French-Swiss border, have had it in operation since September of 2008, and yet “CERN’s Own Documents Contradict Its Safety Assurances” …. to this very day?

Here’s what happened when it first went live in 2008 during initial testing!

“The LHC first went live on 10 September 2008, but initial testing was delayed for 14 months from 19 September 2008 to 20 November 2009, following a magnet quench incident that caused extensive damage to over 50 superconducting magnets, their mountings, and the vacuum pipe.”

It’s exceedingly important to bear in mind that “the world’s largest and most powerful particle collider” operates in such a fashion that it can produce the following effect.  For the sake of clarification, the 35 meters referred to below converts to just under 115 feet of solid copper.

These simulations thus demonstrate that the target is severely damaged by the beam. From these calculations it is estimated that the LHC beam will penetrate up to 35 m in solid copper in 89 μs.  It is also to be noted that the material in the beam-heated region is converted into High Energy Density (HED) matter.

The much more critical point, however, regarding the unintended consequences associated with the Large Hadron Collider is whether strangelets are also being produced in the process of generating a Higgs boson particle(s)?

Even CERN affirms a 70% probability that strangelets will be generated by the LHC

The paper linked below clearly delineates the present problems with the established safety protocols specifically designed by CERN for the operation of the LHC concerning the very real possibility of the generation of strangelets.  It also addresses some other tangential issues which are also highly consequential … as in as serious as it gets regarding the welfare of humanity and safety of Planet Earth.

As this highly authoritative document indicates, the production of an untold number of strangelets at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider facility on the French-Swiss border should not be taken lightly.  Not only that, but there are other matters of grave concern which only very few scientists truly understand because of their profound complexity and inscrutability.  In the words of one astute observer and prescient commentator:

Is there good reason to believe that the technology, and the underlying science, as well as the particle accelerator itself, are not up to the task at hand? What we are suggesting is that these nuclear physicists are playing with fire that they do not have the capacity to understand given the inherent limitations of their mindsets … and their fundamentally flawed scientific paradigms.  More specifically, the very scientific paradigms upon which they have based their LHC technology, especially the collider/accelerator, are totally inadequate to carry out such overwhelmingly powerful experimentation in a responsible manner. In other words these guys are basically trying to play in the major leagues with nothing more than sticks and stones.

As it concerns all experiments in nuclear particle physics, those responsible for conducting such tests which significantly push the edge of the envelope ought to always err on the side of extreme caution.  Taking all manner of the required precautionary measures, however, seems to be so cost prohibitive that most are not even considered practical … even when they might be absolutely necessary.

Perhaps the following article does accurately describe the inherent risks and dangers associated  with the pursuit of such innately perilous scientific experimentation as being conducted at CERN’s LHC.

For those who are uninitiated in the realm of nuclear particle physics, the following paper by Eric Penrose may seem impenetrable.  However, its far-reaching ramifications and implied catastrophic repercussions, which have thus far been ignored, are of the greatest import.  Truly, the future of humankind may hang in the balance, as might the fate of planet Earth.
