Symbols of an Alien Sky (Full Documentary)
Theology: the study of religious faith, practice and experience; the study of God and God’s relation to the world.
Astrotheology: theology founded on the observation of celestial bodies and their deification. The likely origin of looking skyward toward Heaven.
A controversial Truth is making waves in the communities of the scientific and the religious. Clear and irrefutable evidence marking the origins of many of our present day social structures and belief systems sprouting from an ancient world that was spectacularly different from the one we know today.
In speaking of the first astronomers of ancient Mesopotamia and the cultures that followed author David Talbott asks,”Why would diligent astronomers insist that the planets were the towering gods of a prior time?
“The Babylonian priest/astronomer, Berossus said that planets moving on different courses than today produced world catastrophe.”
Ekpyrosis: Greek; Stoic philosophy; of or relating to a cosmological theory proposing that the known universe originated in the collision of two other three-dimensional universes traveling in a hidden fourth dimension. This scenario does not require a singularity at the moment of the Big Bang; “Conversion into fire”, a.k.a. the supposed periodic destruction of the universe”.
May the solar system have been unstable in the past and alive with electrical activity?
Could the Biblical ‘Fall’ stem from a celestial catastrophe that took place in the distant past? Maybe the mythical destruction of Atlantis? Possibly the Great Deluge of Noah’s time?
In Symbols Of An Alien Sky some of these questions and many more are answered in a clear and eloquent manner.
Ancient tales of folklore have common places, themes and characters that engage with the world and the gods that ruled it. Carl Jung called them ‘archetypes’, universal structures of the sub-conscious. Some of these archetypes are: THE DRAGON-SLAYER; PILLAR OR MOUNTAIN OF THE GODS; ANGRY GODDESS; OUROBOROS, THE ENCLOSING SERPENT; LADDER TO HEAVEN; and the DYING GOD. All consistent themes from every ancient culture throughout the planet.
It is likely these themes are representative of the celestial events that ancient humans observed as the planet fell into annihilation.
Introduce Immanuel Velikovsky.
Author of many books going back to 1950 in which he proposed that our solar system’s planets formally moved on unstable courses and more than once a planet came close enough to Earth to cause a global catastrophe. Landmarks such as The Grand Canyon and Valles Marineris on Mars were the result of the electrical discharge exchanged between these planetary bodies.
Evidence can be found in the memories of ancient people who documented the occurrences throughout history.
In speaking of Saturn in tales from mankind’s earliest epoch Talbott says, “Ancient cultures the world over insisted that an exemplary sun once ruled the sky, presiding over a mythic Golden Age.”
This would account for early worship of the the primeval god Kronos who is Father Time and father of the Olympian gods. Also known as Atum Ra in Egypt and Saturn among the Romans, he held the Wheel of Time and the Heavens spun on an axis around him.
“This motionless spot in the Heavens is precisely where later astronomical traditions from Greece to Persia and China all claim that Saturn had ruled the world,” Talbott says.
“The popular Roman festival, Saturnalia was a symbolic return to the Saturnia-Regne or Saturn’s Reign, the Golden Age,” Talbott adds.
The symbolic content of our own Christmas and New Year’s traditions can be traced all the way back to this ancient holiday.
The archaic name of Italy was Saturnia, further emphasizing the importance of the sun god’s place in the culture of antiquity.
The Hebrew El is Saturn and the Israelites once saw themselves as Saturn’s children.
“Deign to know the Latin’s, Saturn’s race, a race freely self-controlled as in the olden days [the Golden Age]”. -Virgil, Aeneid
But at the catastrophic end of the Golden Age, Saturn became known as ‘The Devourer of His Own Children’. Or El or the Elohim, commanding Abraham to sacrifice his own son, Isaac.
As instability occurred between orbits those planets in close proximity to Earth would trigger epic devastation. In the fashion that the survivors of such a cataclysm would express, artistic depictions of these celestial events are placed in cave art.
The beautiful goddess Venus would become the angry goddess Medusa, or Kali if you were from the Indus Valley.
Our Electric Universe
Plasma discharge streamers stretched between the planets causing unimaginable arcing phenomena. Plasma laboratory experiments confirm the cryptic etchings in ancient cave paintings in places like the Middle East, North America, and Australia were likely the results of the observations of these phenomena many ages ago.
“The space between the two planets lights up and is set aflame by both planets and produces a train of fire.” -Seneca, Roman naturalist.
“Heavenly fire is spit forth by the planet as crackling charcoal flies from a burning log. [Archaic traditions say] that these bolts come from the planet Saturn, just as the inflammatory ones come from Mars.” -Pliny, Roman naturalist
This would be the origin of the ‘Thunderbolt of the Gods’ and all their weapons described such as Neptune’s trident, Thor’s hammer, and Mars’ sword. And even the crest, the ‘Wheel of Heaven’, the Egyptian ‘Headdress’, the ‘radiate crown of kings’, and the ‘Plant of Life’ are symbols of these planetary phenomena.
I encourage the viewer to keep an open mind and weigh the evidence based on the facts presented. There is much material on this subject and an in depth study would take some time. This documentary is a great place to start, even for the casually curious.
